Textile machinery is a collective term for various mechanical equipment required to process natural fibers or chemical fibers into textiles. The process required to process different fibers such as cotton, linen, silk, and wool into textiles varies, some of which are completely different, so various types of machines are needed. Classified as long as there are spinning equipment, weaving equipment, printing and dyeing equipment, sorting equipment, chemical fiber drawing equipment, silk reeling equipment, and non-woven fabric equipment. Spinning equipment is divided into two categories: processing short fibers and processing long fibers. Cotton and cotton type synthetic fibers belong to the short fiber category, while wool, linen, silk and their blended synthetic fibers belong to the long fiber category. The processing procedures for the two types of fibers are different, and the equipment cannot be interchangeable, except that some machines have similar design principles. Even for the same type of equipment, the structure of the machine is similar, but due to the different properties of the raw materials and the final requirements for the fabric, it is generally not universal.


Spinning equipment is mainly divided into two categories: processing short fibers and processing long fibers, which vary in variety, machine structure, purpose, and performance. According to their order in the process flow, they are divided into opening and cleaning machinery, carding machine, combing machine, coiling machine, winding machine, doubling machine, drawing machine, coarse and warping process yarn machine, fine yarn machine, rotor spinning machine, wool and linen spinning machinery, etc.


Weaving equipment is divided into winding process, warping process, threading process, weaving process, and finishing process according to its technology.


Printing and dyeing equipment: singeing machine (fabric surface singeing), de boiling and bleaching machine (fabric surface slurry removal), mercerizing machine (to make the fabric fibers arranged neatly, the fabric surface glossy, and the dye adsorption better), uniform rolling machine (fabric dyeing), setting machine (fabric shaping), pre shrinking machine (to control the shrinkage of the fabric).


Sorting equipment is mainly used for textile finishing, including coating, calendering, printing, water washing, nitrate washing, sand washing, embossing, punching, shaping, embroidery, hot stamping, etc.


At the end of the 19th century, artificial fibers emerged, expanding the field of textile machinery and adding a category of chemical fiber machinery. The increasing demand for synthetic fibers has driven the development of synthetic fiber spinning equipment towards large-scale (with a spinning screw diameter of 200 millimeters and a daily production of 100 tons per spinning machine) and high-speed (with a spinning speed of 3000-4000 meters per minute). The country with the fastest development in the world's synthetic fiber industry updates its equipment almost every 5-6 years, and the number of machines doubles within 10 years. In the past 20 years, spinning and weaving equipment has made many local improvements to adapt to pure chemical fiber spinning or blending with natural fibers, such as expanding the range of fiber length suitable for stretching mechanism, eliminating static electricity on fibers, etc. High temperature and high pressure dyeing equipment, heat setting equipment, resin finishing equipment, and loose finishing equipment have been developed in the field of dyeing and finishing.


Non woven fabric equipment is a textile made by bonding, fusing, or other chemical or mechanical methods using textile fibers as raw materials. This type of textile does not undergo traditional spinning, weaving, or knitting processes, also known as non-woven fabric or non-woven fabric.
